Rimera Group introduced new packaged pumps to its product line

Rimera Group’s Almetievsk plant (part of ChelPipe Group) has designed and begun production of a size 2A complete ESP system.

The new system made by Alnas is used in wells with technical limitations: sidetracks, casings in highly deviated wells and in worked-over wells. The ESP unit has an electric submersible pump and a brushless DC electric motor for oil production in wells with a minimum casing diameter of 89 mm.

The design features of the new system are its small diameter and the option of operation within a range of 4K to 6K rpm, which helps choose an optimum operating mode depending on the flow rate of the well. The pump is a packaged unit, which extends its service life in wells with a high content of mechanical impurities.

The working members of the ESP system are made of corrosion-proof solid Ni-resist cast iron, which extends its useful life. The ESP system also has a module with compression and deflocculation stages for wells with higher gas content.

"Since many Russian oilfields are at their final production stage, the sidetracking technology is becoming more and more popular. The Alnas plant designs and supplies complete energy-saving small-scale systems to meet the needs of its key clients – Russian oil producers, to help them reduce operating costs and the cost of oil production substantially," says The Head of the Research and Development Center of Rimera Group Anton Ilyin.

In 2020, the Alnas plant will continue designing size 2A equipment – brushless DC electric motors and high-efficiency pumps.
