Rimera Group launched a new IVECO-based special purpose machine

Rimera Group’s Izhevsk plant (part of ChelPipe Group), one of the top Russian oil engineering companies, has made a prototype of a cement mix and surge pump unit UNB2-500x70ISO.

The UNB2-500x70ISO is mounted on an IVECO-AMT truck frame and is used in drilling and workover. The unit has two NTP-175M high pressure triplex pumps with an independent drive off YaMZ-7514 diesel engines and a two-compartment mixing tank with a total capacity of 7.6 cubic meters.

The unit has a well cementing control system that measures the density, flow rate, pressure and temperature of cement slurry, which is made using an ejector mixer. The centrifugal pump and the mixers are powered by hydraulic motors.

The functionality and technical specifications of the UNB2-500x70ISO make it possible to use it instead of two separate units, traditional-configuration pump and mixer, while being just as efficient.

"The reduction of oilfield service costs is one of the top demands of the key clients, therefore, Rimera Group’s specialists focus on designing and making new oil production equipment, which can meet this demand. Just as the previously designed UNB-125x50KSO, the UNB2-500x70ISO unit can be used in place of standard cementing equipment, for cementing casing sections, for instance," says The Head of the Research and Development Center of Rimera Group Anton Ilyin.

Over the first six months of 2020, almost 60% of Izhneftemash profit came from its innovative equipment through the sale of specialized well workover and cementing machines.
