ChelPipe CEO Vitaliy Sadykov and Izhneftemash OJSC Executive Director Sergei Shunin were present for the official ceremony alongside Mr. Solovyov.
As part of the ceremony, the leaders of the plant and the republic launched the pumpjack at the test bench and presented a memorial certificate to the customer that ordered the 10,000th unit – Tatoilgaz company. Izhneftemash has been cooperating with this oil producer for over 15 years, during which time Tatoilgaz took delivery of more than 150 pumpjacks and 450 subsurface sucker rod pumps.
Addressing the ceremony guests in a greeting speech, Republic's Acting President Alexander Solovyov described Izhneftemash as the leading oil industry mechanical engineering plant in the Udmurt Republic and expressed his confidence that the plant will continue to evolve, improving products, expanding its service offering, and capturing new markets.
ChelPipe CEO Vitaliy Sadykov shared growth plans of Rimera Group, noting that “the plant has recently received an added growth stimulus and started showing high performance. The investments previously made by Rimera Group in expanding the plant are bearing fruit: Izhneftemash is expanding its market share in both Russia and the CIS. In just five months of this year, output has exceeded targets by 40%, with over 280,000 product units manufactured. This would not have been possible without daily contributions by each and every employee of the enterprise. As a producer of quality and efficient oilfield equipment, Rimera's plant has become a real cornerstone of the oil service group's business.”
On the occasion of the notable event, plant employees received certificates of appreciation from the State Council of the Udmurt Republic, the Ministry of the Manufacturing and Energy Industries of the Udmurt Republic, and corporate awards from Rimera Group.
Izhneftemash manufactured its first pumpjack (the unit driving the sucker rod pump) in 1991. The plant is currently the number one Russian enterprise manufacturing sucker rod pumps and pumpjacks. Oilfield equipment manufactured by Izhneftemash enjoys demand in Russia, CIS member states, and Latin America. Plans for 2014 include manufacturing over 450 pumpjacks and more than 9,000 subsurface sucker rod pumps worth RUB 800 million, or 56% more than in 2013 in money terms.
