The Alnas plant held a cornerstone laying ceremony for the second stage of its casting line — a major investment project aimed at stepping up production capacity and reducing production costs.
Alnas Plant of Rimera Group Starts Building Second Stage of Casting Line
The second line to produce castings for operating members of machinery will be an extension to the existing German-made Laempe automated core casting line. It will also use cold box amine technology, making it possible to reduce production costs, improve quality, and produce equipment in less time.
Present for the ceremony were Tatarstan Republic Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, representatives of Almetyevsk City Hall, and over 40 partners of Alnas OJSC, including customers, suppliers, and R&D professionals.
"It is symbolic that we begin this vital investment project for the plant in the year when we mark three major anniversaries: 70th anniversary of first oil production in the Republic of Tatarstan, 60th anniversary of Almetyevsk, and 35th anniversary of Alnas", says Sergei Sachenko, Alnas OJSC Executive Director, adding: "I am certain that we will easily overcome all challenges that we face in the existing production conditions and will launch the new line already next year, thereby significantly boosting the plant's production capacity".
For the first time, celebrations of Mechanical Engineer Day and the 35th anniversary of Alnas OJSC included the Partnership-35 ceremony in which three dozen partners of the company received awards. These are companies with which Rimera has been cooperating successfully for many years. Among them are such industry majors as Rosneft, Tatneft, Gazpromneft, Lukoil, Avtovaz, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Izhevsk Experimental Mechanical Plant, to name just a few.
"Customer focus is a high priority for Rimera, and we align all of our business processes with customer needs. The Partnership-35 ceremony recognizes the significant contribution of our consumers and suppliers to the achievements of our company, which guarantees continued win-win partnership and growth of our enterprises", Rimera Group General Director Vitaliy Sadykov commented.
