Czech-Based MSA Opens a New Production Shop

The ceremony welcomed around 100 guests, including
Mr. Jiří Cienciala, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Alexander Fedorov, Rimera Group Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vitaly Sadykov, Rimera Group General Director, and officials representing client companies, such as Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, SIBUR, Bashneft-Polus, CUNADO, Rotork, AUMA, Fasek and more.
The new shop has become the main and final step of Phase 1 of the modernization project in which Rimera Group's Czech enterprise has been engaged for the past two years. The floor will manufacture control valves for atomic industry, cryogenic valves, and welded metal seated ball valves for aggressive environments. The new shop will not only increase the output of these much-in-demand products by 20% but also guarantee high product quality.
The facility is provided with ready-to-go painting, welding, installation and expedition units equipped with high-precision production equipment. In particular, there is a new production line incorporating DBF 630 (Starrag group) machines, the latest of modern milling solutions. Product quality improvement will be ensured by the new test station to come online shortly. This will expand the available test range for top class valves (Class 2500) designed for high pressure environments and guarantee quality and reliability of MSA products.
As a symbolic opening of the new addition to the Group's Czech asset, the shop produced the first wedge gate valve under Rimera's Rosatom contract, with guests of honor invited to take part in the assembly process.
During the opening ceremony Vitaly Sadykov, Rimera Group General Director, said in his address: «MSA is a valve manufacturer contributing its products to critical sections of trunk pipelines of the world's largest operators. Over the past three years we have increased our sales by 60% approaching the USD 100m/year mark. The modernization of our facility will allow us to take even more secure positions as a supplier of pipeline valves for gas and oil companies and atomic industry. It is no coincidence that the first valve just made in our presence will go to Novovoronezhskaya NPP.»
Vladimir Kononov, MSA Chairman of the Board, commented on the event saying: «A great share of valves produced here goes to Russia. And this parameter grows from one year to the next. As of now, 37% of the plant's output is consumed by Russian companies. The new facility will offer extended opportunities, above all, for our clients: in particular, thanks to the new test station we shall be able to guarantee the quality of the products we ship out. Another important point is that the more powerful production base will help us to shorten lead time to 16 weeks.»
