Following a tender process that ended in September, MSA plant has been awarded a contract to supply valves for projects in Chad, Africa.

The valves will be used in a project to develop the Great Baobab and Prosopis fields in southern Chad. CNPCIC (China National Petroleum Corporation International Chad), a subsidiary of the Chinese petroleum corporation CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation), is the primary project operator.

Rimera's MSA plant will manufacture ten Class 600 all-metal 4-inch and 6-inch ball valves for this central African republic. The delivery is due in late February 2014. The valves will be fitted with Rotork Fluid System actuators. The contract price exceeds EUR 350,000.

"Shipments to Chad have increased the list of countries that receive MSA products. The central African region is not a traditional market for our products. Owing to a positive track record of cooperation with CNPC and its subsidiaries, such as Asia Trans Gas, we will now be shipping our valves to this region as well", MSA Executive Director Vladimir Kononov commented on the expansion of the company's geographic reach.
