Alnas, the Almetyevsk-based plant of Rimera Group, has completed a large-scale program of field tests of new equipment on wells of Tomskneft, a division of Rosneft.
Fourteen Oil Production Units of Alnas Successfully Pass Pilot Tests on Tomskneft Wells
Fourteen oil production units manufactured by Alnas have been successful tested at Tomskneft fields. They include model 0615 compressor units for difficult wells and floating assembly units 0115 and 0215, as well as control stations.
According to Rimera Group Commercial Director Konstantin Samsonov, the merits of the new lineup of pumps—from customer perspective—include improved pump head performance from 12% to 44% and increased efficiency from 5% to 12%, which reduces electricity costs during oil production.
Furthermore, the increased head of pump stages makes it possible to reduce the number of pump sections, in turn reducing the time of tripping operations and equipment maintenance as well as ensuring more reliable pump operation in directional wells.
Of all tested equipment, the longest time between failures was recorded for pump 0215 at 699 days from the time of its commissioning in the well. These figures exceed by more than three-fold the original requirements of the customer.
