Kazakhstan Interested in Rimera Companies’ Operating Experience

The Kazakh envoy visited the company’s upgraded machining and galvanization shop, with its advanced tubing coupling production line, and the Izhneftemash Technical Center, which saw the Corporate Petroleum Engineer Training Center open this past February. The visit concluded with an introduction to Izhneftemash products and a discussion of the company’s experience of operating in Kazakhstan.
Summarizing his visit to the Izhevsk-based plant, Galym Orazbakov said Kazakhstan strives to form companies with foreign businesses. The Izhneftemash strategy and standard of management training enable the company to move forward. It has sufficient reason to expand its presence in the Kazakh market, as its capabilities can spark the interest of potential partners.
Izhneftemash shipments to Kazakhstan in 2012 increased by more than 40 percent year over year on 2011, inspiring confidence of further growth. Pumpjacks, reducers and sucker rod pumps accounted for the greater part of the deliveries.
Other Rimera companies, too, have successfully done business with Kazakh customers. The Chelyabinsk-based SOT ships hot bends for large national energy projects and energy equipment repair needs, and the Almetyevsk-based Alnas, electric submersible pump systems, engines and control centers. ChelPipe’s pipe-making division ships almost its entire product line to Kazakhstan, with most of the pipes delivered to the oil and gas sector: large-diameter pipes, casing and tubing for major Kazakh O&G companies.
