The new model is fitted with NTP-175 high-pressure triplex pumps that are convenient in operation thanks to the fact that their main assemblies and pump parts are interchangeable with assemblies and parts of other pump types. These pumps can be operated either simultaneously, to ensure a higher rate of cementing slurry injection into wells up to 3,200 meters deep, or separately, with one pump backing up the other so as to ensure an uninterrupted well cementing process.
According to Surgutneftegaz representatives, factory tests on the UNB2-250x50K unit have proven that the manufactured specimen fully meets the client's expectations. It has been sent for pilot testing at Western Siberia fields to be tested by units of the Surgut well cementing division of Surgutneftegaz. A decision to buy a shipment of the same two-pump cementing units will be made based on the outcome of pilot testing.
“The market for special-purpose equipment for well interventions currently has demand for high-performance units that can replace a number of the traditional units currently in use. Designed in close collaboration with Surgutneftegaz, the UNB2-250x50K model fully meets this requirement,” says Izhneftemash Executive Director Sergei Shunin.
The UNB2-250х50K two-pump mobile cementing unit on the KamAZ-63501 chassis is designed to inject non-corrosive liquids and solutions during cementing, hydraulic jet perforation, sand washing, other washing and squeezing operations during oil and gas well completion and interventions.
