The pump from the new 0215ECNAKI5-200М1-2250 series was in operation for an acceptance-level run of 180 days. During the pilot testing the unit was operating as expected, with both technical and energy parameters in the stated range.
The new pump has proven 7% more power efficient compared to its mass-produced counterpart, which offers great cost-cutting opportunities for the oil production sector. The new unit is balanced in terms of number and arrangement of intermediate bearings, it features shafts with involute splines and end pieces with built-in radial bearings, resulting in more reliable and wear-resistant design compared to similar off-the-shelf models.
Following successful tests it was agreed to keep the units going. The client also recommends Alnas to launch serial production of the new unit.
“We have launched tests for 73 new units at our clients' wellsites in 2013. 20 of those have already completed their acceptance-level runs,” comments Sergey Sibirev, Rimera's Research and Development Center Director. The numerous positive feedback received by Rimera’s Almetyevsk-based company about the tested equipment suggests endorsement of the group’s strategy aimed at creating a game-changing range of energy-efficient heavy duty equipment and improving its end-user performance.
