The Leninogorsk well cementing division of the oil company Tatneft has accepted into service a pilot specimen of the UNB-125x50 SO pump unit manufactured by Izhneftemash, the Izhevsk-based plant of Rimera Group.
Pump Unit Made by Rimera Group's Izhevsk Plant Stands up to Quality Standards at Tatneft Fields
Operation of the UNB-125x50 SO unit has proven that for well cementing purposes this equipment successfully replaces three pieces of traditionally used equipment: the pump, mixer, and cement surge tank, thereby significantly reducing the oil and gas well service costs.
Manufactured by Izhneftemash, the Izhevsk-based plant of Rimera Group, the UNB-125x50 SO unit is designed for intervention and shut-off operations during well workovers. The unit is mounted on the KamAZ 63501 cross-country chassis with an 8x8 wheel drive.
The pump unit design includes a mixer combined with a cement surge tank, a 4 m3 dry cement hopper, a displacement tank, and a modernized NTP-175 triplex pump. Pump design upgrades have delivered improved performance and maintainability.
New equipment produced by Alnas plant, the Almetyevsk-based asset of Rimera Group, are also being tested at Tatneft fields. In 2012, the companies formed a working group on R&D collaboration, resulting in a number of joint projects. This past September, the Alnas-manufactured high-voltage motor, model NPEDT 45-117, successfully passed incoming quality control. It is currently being installed. R&D efforts are in progress as part of yet another project that involves using piston rod protectors in Tatneft wells at the Ashalchinskoye Field.
