Rimera Carries Valves to South Korea
Rimera Group's MSA based in the Czech Republic has completed a shipment of pipeline valves to the South Korean KOGAS (Korea Gas Corporation). The lot worth more than EUR 1.4m was shipped in January/early February.
As provided in the contract, KOGAS has received 95 ball valves dia. 4“ – 30“, class 300 – 600. The valves are designed for both above and below ground service. All the ball valves are either manually or electrically driven. The valves shall be integrated into gas pipelines constructed in South Korea.
"KOGAS is the second largest consumer of MSA-made pipeline valves. Last year the South Korean operator bought over EUR 6m worth of our valve products, meaning that the scope of supply more than doubled in just two years (since 2011)", comments Vladimir Kononov, MSA Chairman of the Board.
Currently there is an agreement to sell more pipeline valves to the South Korean company. MSA's plan is to produce 170 more ball valves worth a total of EUR 2.6m.
