The certification covers hot-formed bends and adapter rings compliant with the TU 1469-035-74238272-2012 specification, up to 1220 mm in diameter and designed for use under pressure of 11.8 MPa.
SOT is in the process of negotiating a specification for pipe spools. In March, the company’s manufacturing process will undergo certification by a Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC board. The inspection will include a hydrostatic test of a prototype and welding of check junctions. SOT plans to complete the preparations for participation in South Stream construction in the third quarter of 2013.
“The standard of technology, and welding and bending equipment at our Chelyabinsk company helps Rimera Group provide our key customer, Gazprom, with products that have the required strength properties,” says Sales Director Mikhail Zhamkov. “Besides, thanks to a new bending machine started in 2012, we are prepared to fulfill strategically important orders on time and within the required scope.”
For many years, major energy companies have been the main consumers of products made by Rimera Group’s manufacturing companies. Last year, shipments to the leading companies, Gazprom and Transneft, from SOT alone exceeded 8 000 tons. Another manufacturer of Rimera Group that shipped its products to these companies was MSA, based in the Czech Republic.
