The modernization project included large-scale upgrading of the unit’s manufacturing facilities. Three newly formed production sites were fitted with advanced Russian-made equipment. The production and utility space was renovated, improving the workplace comfort on the site. Total investment in putting the upgraded shop into service exceeded RUB 42 mln.
“When the new manufacturing facility hits projected capacity, the shop will make up to 500 000 tubing couplings a year. This will both fully cover the needs of Izhneftemash’s sister company, Noyabrsk Central Tube Base, and enable attracting orders from third-party consumers,” said Izhneftemash Executive Director Igor Mochalin.
The Udmurtia President referred to the launching of the new high-capacity equipment and new jobs at Izhneftemash as an important step in fulfilling the instructions and decrees of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said the measures would increase the competitive capacity of Udmurtia’s mechanical engineering industry, while reinforcing the region’s industrial capacity. It is important that most of the purchased equipment was made in Russia, Alexander Volkov said.
“Izhneftemash has been growing intensively for the last three years,” said Alexander Volkov. “Growth means reliability and confidence that output will increase, the team will remain in place and have work, and pay will rise.”
