Two pilot sets of well flushing equipment underwent managed tests at Udmurtneft between September 2012 and March 2013. The tests were conducted on two wells in the Sundursko-Nyazinskoye and Kiyengopskoye oilfields.
The use of BTP-50 units for pumping of hot heat-transfer fluids or chemical agents through hollow sucker rods helped substantially increase the efficiency of process operations in a well. In the course of the tests, flush fluid usage dropped by half and flushing time was reduced. A reduction in running costs through a twofold decrease in flushing tank trucks was a further result of the test operation.
According to Udmurtneft engineers, the use the BTP-50 unit helps eliminate production shortage characteristic of traditional well treatment through annular space and avoid the adverse effects of flushing fluids on the producing reservoir in case of partial or complete absorption during a standard flushing process.
The managed operation of the Izhneftemash equipment in Udmurtneft oilfields will continue, as the results of the BTP-50 tests have been assessed as satisfactory. There are plans to test various options of using hollow rods for dewaxing including heating with a mobile steamer and continuous feeding of a chemical agent through hollow rods.
Other Rimera products, too, are in the process of undergoing pilot operation on Rosneft oil wells. Four electric submersible pumps made by the Almetyevsk-based Alnas plant are being successfully operated by RN-Yuganskneftegaz. Further shipments of the equipment will be considered after the completion of the tests.
