An innovative Alnas pump system designed for complicated wells was successfully tested in Samaraneftegaz oilfields. The special pump system design helps prolong service life and improve vertical lift performance. The impellers of the 0315 pump system are made of Fortron polymer, which has the best properties for oil production under conditions of higher-than-normal salt and solids content. The new design has successfully passed the minimum acceptance operation time of 180 days and continues to work in the Zapadno-Kommunarskoye oilfield.
“Development of complicated wells has led to more stringent requirements from oil companies to manufacture of oil production equipment,” comments Konstantin Samsonov, head of oil-production equipment sales and service at Rimera Group. “Alnas has found itself prepared for the new market requirements, responding to the latest trends with a new line of high-tech pumps. The successful tests of the system open up new opportunities for increasing our share in the market for pumps made of three to five percent polymers.”
Izhneftemash, the other of Rimera’s two mechanical engineering companies, ships wheel-mounted machinery, reduction gearboxes, drill pumps, pumps and accessories to Samaraneftegaz. Shipments increased by almost 70 percent year-over-year in 2012.
