The innovative designs created by the Almetyevsk-based company are intended for use in wells with abnormal operating conditions. The new pumps use several configurations, namely, 0615 (compression), 2115 (floating with a thrust bearing), and 0115 (floating without a thrust bearing). Combined with upgraded working parts, these configurations provide increased service life and fail-safety. The volume of transferred fluid per stage was increased by 14 percent, and efficiency rose to 60 percent from 56 percent. The better performing stages allowed cutting the number of sections in the new pump configurations from ten to seven. These innovative engineering designs will help oil companies save time and resources on equipment installation.
“Development of difficult wells is forcing oil companies to use increasingly more efficient oil production equipment,” said Sergey Sibirev, director of the Rimera R&D center. “The new line of electric submersible pump systems by Alnas is a long-awaited response to the oil industry’s need for high-quality pumps.
The 0615ETsNAKI6-1250M1 compression pump and the floating configuration pump designs have been approved for mass production and are in the process of being prepared for manufacture. The leading Russian oil companies NK Rosneft and Slavneft are planning to be the first customers for the Alnas innovative designs.
