The use of higher-voltage electric submersible motors improves energy efficiency of submersible pumps for oil production. Heat loss reduction in the cable line and motor heating reduction through running current reduction help cut down overall power consumption thus extending the life of the equipment.

"Over the past two years, we have launched batch production of 28 ,32, 45, 56, 70 and 80 kW 117mm higher-voltage electric submersible motors to meet energy-saving needs of oil companies. We have designed and tested 63 kW and 90 kW models planned for batch production in August 2015, they are currently being reviewed by the trial board. When designing the new line, Rimera's specialists used standard design solutions based on unification principles - one of effective ways to improve the quality, cut down the labor content and shorten the pre-production cycle. Batch-produced higher-voltage electric submersible motors have up to 96.9% unification rate", says Rimera Group Research and Development Center Director Sergey Sibirev.

The new motors made by Alnas have proved highly effective in the fields of major oil companies such as Rosneft, Tomskneft, Slavneft and Tatneft. Pilot tests showed power saving of up to 28%.
