Under a contract with the project's general contractor, PSJ Hydrotranzit, MSA will deliver over 420 units of valves worth a total of EUR 2.2 million.
The shipment will include Class 150 diam. 32"-48" gate and wedge valves, as well as ball valves in smaller diameters. The valves will be fitted with pneumatic drives manufactured by an MSA partner, Drehmo.
The principal investor in the project is the leading Polish oil transport company PERN Przyjaźń S.A. Phase one of the project involves building oil storages with a capacity of 700,000 cubic meters along with the required infrastructure. The terminal should be completed by 2018. It will be used for transshipment of petroleum products and other value-added products of oil.
"MSA plant is a valve supplier of choice for the Polish company PERN Przyjaźń S.A., with which we cooperated on the project to build the Druzhba oil pipeline, among others. We have been cooperating with this company since 1997. Over the years, we have made deliveries worth more than EUR 7.5 mln to the Polish company. This order is one of the biggest in the history of our cooperation with this client," MSA Management Board Chairman Vladimir Kononov says.
