MSA has received yet another order from Saudi Aramco for valves of nonstandard dimensions having a complex configuration. Last October the plant delivered a shipment of similar valves to leader of the international oil production market. The valves will be used in construction of the largest gas pipeline in Saudi Arabia.
The 1,420 mm Class 600 valves have been designed and manufactured by MSA experts to customer specifications and offer a number of advantages. Thanks to a combined design of two seats— “hard” (“metal-to-metal”) and “soft” (spring-loaded seat with a sealing ring)—the valves can be used in corrosive and mildly corrosive environments. In addition, the use of the “trunnion stem” technology (fixing the ball on the “top” and “bottom” using a trunnion pin ) extends the service life of these valves by 20-30%.
“We will deliver 11 ball valves of nonstandard dimensions worth a total of 3.4 million euros to Saudi Aramco. Yet another contract for products of this type confirms the status of MSA plant as an international manufacturer of top-class valves prepared to fill orders of any complexity,” says MSA Management Board Chairman and Rimera Group Executive Director Vladimir Kononov.
