Shipments for the project will start in July and continue until the end of 2015. Shipping batches will include ø219-1220 mm, 8-12 mm wall thickness pipe spools made of Grade 10, 20, 09G2S, 17G1S-U and 08Ch18N10 steel. The pipe spools will come fitted with adapters and bends made by pulling through a horn-shaped mandrel manufactured by the Magnitogorsk branch of JSC Pipeline Bends.
"Cooperation with power companies is a substantial step in the development of our company. We do not simply expand sales markets but we improve our technologies to suit the needs of our clients. While working with Fortuma, for instance, we have mastered the special technique of making pipe units and mounting components used for piping of power plants. Moreover, our specialists have tried out the technology of combined manual argon-arc welding with nonconsumable electrodes and manual arc welding with coated electrodes of high-alloyed stainless steel, for which JSC Pipeline Bends was awarded a certificate by the National Welding Control Agency", says Pipeline Bends' Executive Director Leonid Malamud.
Rimera Group and Fortuma’s partnership began in 2014 and has so far resulted in shipments of around 950 tons of products for the first and second units of the Chelyabinsk State District Power Station.
