Pipe Bends Plant (SOT) has shipped 26 tonnes of pipe bends to Latvijas Gaze AS to be used in modernization of the Riga – Panevėžys gas pipeline.
Rimera's Urals Plant Ships Products to the EU
Diam. 720 mm hot bends with 10 mm walls with an outside coating were made of K60 steel per GOST 24 950-81. The products are intended for modernization of the Riga – Panevėžys gas pipeline (the underwater crossing of the rivers Memele and Musa), which was built during the Soviet era.
“This project represents positive experience of cooperation of our Urals plant with Baltic companies. Last year, Pipe Bends Plant successfully passed an audit for product compliance with the requirements of the EN 1594 European standard, and we came out as the only Russian supplier cleared for participation in the tender,” says Rimera Group Commercial Director Konstantin Samsonov, adding: “We were able to beat traditional European suppliers from Germany, Italy, and Poland by offering the client an advantageous technical and commercial solution for pipe bends for this project.”
Rimera's Czech asset MSA has also supplied products for the transmission gas pipeline between the Latvian capital and the Lithuanian city of Panevėžys. In the first quarter of this year, the plant delivered 36 Class 600 diam. 4"-28" ball valves having a subsurface design for the project.
