The batch of pipe fittings will include 1,220 mm hot bends with 22.7 mm and 27.3 mm walls. A total of 57 bends will be made from K60 steel stock pipes and coated with Pk-60 insulation. Pipe Bends Plant products will be used in the project to expand the Joint Gas Supply System of Gazprom.
Pipe fittings of this type are made to specifications TU 1469-035-74238272-2012 that apply to bends made by induction heating, 219 mm to 1,220 mm in diameter, and adapter rings 219 mm to 1,220 mm in diameter rated for an operating pressure of 11.8 MPa. Products used in linear portions of gas pipelines and compressor station lines undergo the most rigorous testing, particularly crack-resistance testing of the source pipes and prolonged hydraulic testing of the finished bend.
“Each year our plant is expanding the scope of partnership with our key customer – Gazprom. In 2014, we shipped large volumes of pipe spools for the Shakhtinskaya, Korenkovskaya, Petrovsk, and Balashov compressor stations. We also received a favorable opinion from Gazprom VNIIGAZ or hot bends with a bend radius of 1.5 DN. These and other lines of work are shaping the vector of our cooperation with the gas giant for the coming years,” says Pipe Bends Plant Executive Director Leonid Malamud.
