In 2013 Chelyabinsk-based SOT shipped to Transneft 3,644 tonnes of products, more than twice the 2012 figure (1,785 tonnes). The bulk of shipments consisted of hot- and cold-formed bends with PPU 100-OC, 75-MP and 100-MP coatings for II and III phases of Zapolyarye–Purpe pipeline system.
Last year the Czech-based MSA shipped to Transneft 45 4“-20“ Class 150-400 ball valves worth more than €755,000. That was five times the 2012 figure (19 12“-16“, Class 150 ball valves worth more than €161,000).
“This year the Kuyumba-Taishet oil pipeline is the key driver of Rimera's sales to Transneft. The Group's Chelyabinsk factory is already manufacturing pipe bends for the pipeline construction project. At the same time, in order to strengthen and widen our cooperation we work on new product lines to meet the current and future clients' needs. For example, in 2013 for the first time ever we supplied to Transneft stamp-weleded T-bends with 1,220 mm internal diameter and short-radius 1DN and 1.5 DN stamped bends,” says Sergey Brezitsky, Rimera Group General Director.
ChelPipe Group's pipe-making division also maintains a history of effective cooperation with Transneft. The company supplied its products for all of Transneft's biggest projects, such as “Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean-2”, “Baltic Pipeline System-2”, “Purpe-Samotlor”. The most recent shipments included more than 13,600 tonnes of LDPs with diameter 1,020 mm or more and 12.500 tonnes of 820 mm diameter LDPs for Zapolyarye–Purpe oil pipeline.
