Just like in 2012, Kazakhstan is the chief foreign trade partner of Rimera among the neighboring nations. Contract with petroleum production companies in Kazakhstan account for almost 40% of all Rimera shipments to CIS markets. The bulk of these shipments involve products by Izhneftemash plant: pressure reducing valves, subsurface sucker rod pumps, pumpjacks, and special-purpose machinery. Chelyabinsk-based SOT plant and Almetyevsk-based Alnas plant also made deliveries to Kazakhstan.
Rimera Group's Czech asset, MSA, accounted for the bulk of 2013 shipments to Uzbekistan, another CIS member state. The five-time increase in the volume of deliveries compared to 2012 is owing to MSA's winning bid in a tender process to select a supplier of pipeline valves for Asia Trans Gas company that is building the Uzbekistan – China gas pipeline.
When it comes to Azerbaijan, the Group achieved the highest growth in 2013 in the segment of petroleum industry mechanical engineering. Alnas and Izhneftemash plants saw a twofold increase in their deliveries to the republic's oil fields.
Fuel and energy sector companies of Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Belarus are also among customers in neighboring nations that take delivery of products by Rimera Group companies. In addition to buying serially manufactured products, CIS petroleum production companies are also cooperating with Rimera Group along the lines of production setup and marketing of new equipment designs. Sets of equipment manufactured under the White Well standard will be tested in fields of Kazakhstan under an agreement with Ozenmunaigaz company.
"Our business with companies in CIS markets is promoted by effective measures of government support for trade and economic integration, particularly the Customs Union that considerably simplifies deliveries of our products to buyers in Belarus and Kazakhstan", Mr. Brezitskiy notes.
