Supervised tests of five well screens FSP-73/105 have been taking place at Reshetnikovskoe, Chernovskoe, Byginskoe and Smolnikovskoe oilfields since June 2013. According to Belkamneft experts, the equipment has performed up to its design characteristics, effectively protecting sucker rod pump valves from large solid particles of deposits inside the wells. No sucker rod pump system failures due to screen clogging have been reported during the trial period. With new screens in place, time between failures more than doubled from 115 to 257 days at Reshetnikovskoe oilfield.
Well screen FSP-73/105 with adjustable orifice size is Izhneftemash's patented innovation and a unique product having no domestically produced equivalents. The unit protects sucker rod pumps from mechanical impurities. With screening element (spring) located on the outside of the unit housing, the unit is easy to adjust and maintain and is highly serviceable.
“The positive results of recent Izhneftemash well screen tests point at the high level of technical expertise behind the innovations marketed by Rimera's engineering companies,” says Sergey Sibirev, Rimera's Research and Development Center Director. In February Almetyevsk-based Alnas, another Rimera Group asset, successfully completed pilot tests of new electric submersible pumps at Surgutneftegaz oilfields.
