In late July, Izhneftemash delivered a shipment of US-50x20K mixing units with enhanced lift capacity on KAMAZ chassis to the Russian division of Schlumberger. The machines are designed to transport dry and powdery materials (cement, cementing mixes, sand, and other bulk materials) and to prepare cement slurry for oil and gas well cementing. The principal competitive advantage of the unit is the enhanced lift capacity of the chassis and the possibility to additionally load the bin up to 25 tonnes directly at the well site thanks to the increased volume of the bin.
The contract price is undisclosed.
"Izhneftemash has the capacity to supply oilfield equipment to both oil production companies and major oil service companies. Under the current conditions, our plant makes maximum use of every opportunity to manufacture modern oilfield equipment capable of replacing foreign-made equivalents. This is especially important at the current stage in Russia's history,” Izhneftemash Executive Director Sergei Shunin said.
By the end of this year, the plant will replenish Schlumberger's fleet of specialized machinery with five models, including the USP-20K multipurpose unit that has been custom-built to the client's specifications and delivered to the client early this year. In money terms, the planned shipments by the Izhevsk plant of the group in 2014 to Schlumberger will exceed total shipments in 2011 - 2013 to this client by 1.6 times.
