The first five 34” Class 600 ball valves were shipped as part of the order in November 2012. The remaining six units will be shipped before the end of February. The customer, Califormia’s Pacific Gas and Electric Company, plans to use the equipment made by the Rimera plant in the Czech Republic for replacing some obsolete valves in its gas distribution network as part of a repair effort.
“The fact that our products successfully passed the tests, which testifies to their high quality, offers MSA new opportunities for expanding its customer base in North America. This is an exciting market with its own century-long traditions, one of these being its conservative nature,” comments Mikhail Zhamkov, Rimera Group’s director of trunk pipeline equipment sales.
MSA increased shipments to its customers in U.S. and Canada more than 2.5 times from 2010 through 2012. Rimera Groups’ Czech company plans reach € 620,000 in shipments to the North American market in 2013. Forum Energy Technologies, ISV, AECOM, Samson, Pentair, and Prism Flow are the key customers for MSA trunk pipeline equipment in North America.
