It will help the plant step up its capacity for production of electric centrifugal pump operating members by 70% while significantly reducing the plant's environmental footprint. The project to upgrade the casting facility is aimed at increasing production capacity, reducing the cost of production, improving working conditions, and making the plant more environmentally friendly.
The second stage of the facility that produces castings for operating members of electric centrifugal pumps will be an extension to the existing German-made Laempe automated core casting line launched in 2013. It will also use cold box amine technology (cold hardening mixtures), making it possible to reduce production costs, improve quality, and produce equipment in less time.
The casting facility will include seven biochemical absorption units for air cleaning. The modern dust trapping and gas cleaning units have a high air cleaning capacity (up to 230,000 cubic meters of air per hour) and a cleaning efficiency of 98%. They will be commissioned together with the launch of the Laempe casting line.
“Once the casting line is launched, Alnas will be able to step up its electric centrifugal pump production capacity by 25%, bringing the plant closer to its strategic goal of increasing output to 7,500 pumps a year,” says Alnas Executive Director Sergei Sachenko.
Total investments in the Almetyevsk plant of Rimera Group exceed 2.5 billion rubles. The upgrade of production facilities will be completed by 2016.
