As part of the signed contract, Rimera's Czech-based company will sell CPECC 64 2“ – 8“, class 150 – 900 ball valves worth a total of over EUR 630,000. All units will be equipped with pneumatic drives supplied by MSA's partners. The valves made by the Czech company will be used to build compressor stations CCS2, CCS4, CCS6 and CCS8 of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, whose total length exceeds 1,900 km (not including the Chinese portion of the gas transportation system).
“MSA has a 10-year long history of cooperation with the Chinese CPECC. The construction of such a large-scale gas pipeline connecting the East and Asia has given our relationship some extra momentum. The aggregate total of MSA's valve supply contracts towards the project approaches EUR 3.8m,” says Vladimir Kononov, MSA Chairman of the Board, commenting on orders bound for China.
The Asian oil and gas market is among the most dynamic ones. Speaking of large gas pipeline projects, Rimera's Czech company has also plenty of experience cooperating with other Asian companies, including the Indonesian PGN and Rekayasa, the South Korean KOGAS, the Indian GAIL, EIL, Reliance, IOCL, GSPL, etc. In addition to that, Rimera Group's SOT based in Chelyabinsk is the only Russian supplier of pipe bends for the third leg of the Uzbekistan-China gas pipeline project, which is a part of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline.
