As the winner of a tender that ended in late March, Rimera Group’s Almetyevsk-based Alnas has been contracted to supply ESP components to LUKOIL. According to the contract, Alnas will turn over to Lukoil EPU Service, LUKOIL's oilfield service unit, over 2 million ESP stages, enough to upgrade around 5,000 ESPs.
The contract will cover Lukoil EPU Service's needs for Almetyevsk-made ESP stages till the end of Q1, 2015. The contracted amounts have already been put on Alnas' production plan. The products will be delivered to the service centers in Western Siberia and the Republic of Komi.
The annual contract value has not been disclosed.
“This year we plan to triple our total supplies (oil lifting equipment and components) to LUKOIL from the last year,” says Konstantin Samsonov, Rimera Group Commercial Director, commenting on the contract. “In addition to that, right now in cooperation with one of LUKOIL's daughters we are successfully implementing a White Well project in Western Siberia, targeting more efficient oil production. By effectively selecting, producing and servicing special sets of ESPs and tubing for difficult wells we can increase MTBF across the entire subsurface equipment range at the same time. This will help to reduce the number of round trip operations and repairs as well as the associated costs, thereby increasing the production. As of now, MTBF approaches 200 days at two Pokachevneftegaz wells.”
LUKOIL daughter companies are also partners to other Rimera Group companies, such as Izhneftemash, Chelyabinsk-based JSC “Pipeline Bends” and Noyabrsk Central Tube Base, an oil-well tubing service provider.
