Saudi Arabia to Take Delivery of EUR 2 mln Worth of Rimera Valves

MSA plant, part of Rimera Group, has been declared the winning bidder in a tender to supply pipeline valves to the engineering company GCC (Gulf Consolidated Contractors Co.), headquartered in Saudi Arabia. The company's core business is designing major infrastructure facilities for the petrochemical and gas industries and also selecting and supplying equipment for construction and upgrades of such facilities. The company is actively involved in projects of Saudi Aramco.
"Over the course of May and July of this year, GCC will take delivery of 113 Class 150 – 600 valves 2" to 48" in diameter. The contract price exceeds EUR 2 mln. The valves will be equipped with Limitorque electronic actuators as well as manual actuators. All MSA valves bought by GCC will be used in three Saudi Aramco projects", MSA Management Board Chairman Vladimir Kononov comments on the delivery that is already factored into the MSA production plan.
The Czech valves of Rimera will be used in building the pipeline system of Wasit – the largest gas refinery of Saudi Aramco. After it enters service, the refinery will process over 70 mln m3 of natural gas per day. Valves to be supplied under this GCC contract will be also used in two more projects that involve pigging gas pipelines of existing gas refineries in Saudi Arabia.
The Middle East is a major sales market for the Czech plant. This market is dominated by state-owned Saudi Aramco, the world's biggest petroleum company by oil production and the size of oil reserves. Over five years of cooperation with Saudi Aramco, MSA plant has delivered more than 1,500 valves worth almost EUR 6 mln.
