Custom pipe spools made using both solid-drawn and welded sector bends, adapters and tubulars with diameters of up to 1,220 mm will be manufactured by SOT production facilities in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. SOT-made mounting assemblies and pipe bends shall be used for the construction of three Chelyabinsk HEPP power generating units.
«Our scientific and engineering potential and modern equipment allow us to offer our clients custom-made welded pipe blocks of any complexity and configuration,» says Leonid Malamud, SOT Executive Director. «Factory conditions and multistage quality control guarantee super accurate assembly and enhanced welded joint reliability.»
At present Rimera's engineers together with the design team are elaborating an arrangement to break the spools up into separate assembly blocks to have welding, assembly and shipment procedures approved. The documentation needed to authorize the fabrication of parts has been prepared and submitted to Rostekhnadzor. The first items under the contract will be shipped out in IV quarter 2013.
