Application of RODSTAR will expand the plant capabilities in calculation of characteristics of surface and downhole equipment, stresses in the rod string, and well fluid inflow. Depending on well features, Izhneftemash specialists can equip it according to the optimal scheme: select a pumping unit according to the torque, load capacity and stroke length; subsurface sucker rod pump according to its size, bore diameter and plunger stroke length, thus providing the planned production level. This software also allows to calculate an optimal pump setting depth based on the well geometry, characteristics of arod string and electric motor, well productivity factor, and other parameters. Depending on the number of inputs, selection of the effective well design will take from 20 min to a couple of hours.

According to Izhneftemash' own marketing research, in the first half of 2021, its share in the Russian market of subsurface sucker rod pumps was 43%, pumping units – 29%.
