Modernization

Rimera Group allocates a significant share of its funds to upgrading and modernization of its manufacturing sites. Modernization of the Group operations has strategic importance, as Rimera controls one of the nation's major machine engineering assets.

A large-scale revamping program is underway at the Alnas plant in Tatarstan. The total amount of investments to upgrade the Almetyevsk plant has exceeded 2 billion rubles. Within the program, the foundry, machining, quenching and testing equipment has been upgraded. The commissioning of a new foundry complex will allow Alnas to reach its production capacity of up to 7,500 ESP units per year, reduce production costs by 25%, and also reduce the environmental impact.

Izhneftemash is also running a program, having allocated over 250 million rubles for the plant’s retrofit. In 2012, the company launched a line producing tubing couplings. Over the past 7 years, a specialized tubing couplings production line, a new painting and drying complex, a pumpjack and wheeled machinery parts welding line, and an ESP switchboards production line have been commissioned. There is an ongoing scheduled and off-schedule purchase of a more advanced and efficient equipment. Also, active work is under way to organize a new production line for the manufacture of equipment for multistage hydraulic fracturing.

THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF INVESTMENTS TO UPGRADE ALNAS FACILITIES HAS EXCEEDED 2.5 BILLION RUBLES. AS A RESULT OF MODERNIZATION THE PLANT CAN MAKE UP TO 7,500 ESP UNITS PER YEAR.

The upgrade is also in progress at Rimera Service branches, being part of the corporate development strategy implementation – positioning Rimera Group as a service company that provides integrated services to fuel and energy companies. In 2017-2018 alone, Rimera-Service invested 417 million rubles into production facilities and technology – most of the investments being spent on equipment and industrial infrastructure. The modernization program also included the purchase of new process facilities – cable repair lines, test instrumentation systems for submersible cables and extensions, abrasive blast rooms, sandblasting plants, motor winding heaters, benches for assembly/disassembly of ESP units and other tools for testing and repairing of oil production equipment. The cutting-edge technologies and facilities allow Rimera-Service to expand the range of their services, following the market needs.
